The SAFE Center’s mental health clinicians create a safe space for human trafficking survivors to share and process traumatic experiences. In addition to short-term services, our clinical staff provide crisis intervention and long-term services to address symptoms associated with complex trauma. We are experienced in working with clients experiencing PTSD, depression, dissociative disorders, anxiety disorders, and more.
Therapeutic services are tailored to individual needs and may include the following:
- Stabilization and Safety Planning
- Individual therapy – EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based therapies
- Group Therapy – coping and social skills development, psychoeducation related to victimization and trauma, self-regulation strategies, identity development, and interpersonal connection building
- Substance Use Treatment Referrals
- Psychiatric Care Referrals
- Crisis Intervention Resources
The SAFE Center’s clinicians work closely with our legal, social service, and economic empowerment teams to help clients develop strong support systems, including family engagement when possible.
