The SAFE Center’s Case Management team provides services for human trafficking survivors that are tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. These social services are available in additional languages through both in-person and telephonic interpreters.
The SAFE Center’s Case Management services include:
- Emergency and Long-Term Safety Planning
- Access to Medical, Dental, and Mental Health Care
- The SAFE Center offers onsite, basic medical care in partnership with the University of Maryland Nursing School’s Mobile Clinic.
- We offer dental care appointments at the University of Maryland Dental School at low or no cost to clients.
- The SAFE Center’s in-house Mental Health team is experienced in working with clients experiencing PTSD, depression, dissociative disorders, anxiety disorders, and more.
- Accompaniment to Court Proceedings
- Assistance Obtaining Identification Documents and Social and Financial Public Benefits
- Economic Empowerment Support – assistance with job searches and educational and vocational enrollment (SAFE Center Economic Empowerment Program)
- Connection to the SAFE Center’s Housing Specialist
- Screening and Services for Youth – wrap-around services for youth at high risk of trafficking and youth trafficking survivors (Regional Navigator Program)
- Survivor Engagement Programs – group activities, team-building exercises, and wellness workshops to help clients build relationships, enhance communication skills, and prioritize their health
