SAFE Center Reviews Impact of COVID-19 Response

Now that 2020 has come to a close, we reflect on the unique challenges presented by the pandemic and our efforts to meet the acute needs of trafficking survivors who have been severely impacted. The pandemic has exacerbated our clients’ vulnerability to homelessness, food insecurity, and re-exploitation. Many have lost jobs and live in conditions where they cannot social distance.

The immense support we have received from our community of partners and donors has helped us meet the increased need for our core services and emergency assistance, which is evidenced by the increase in the demand for services during the first six months of the pandemic compared to the same period in 2019:
