SAFE Center Provides Human Trafficking Webinar Presentation to American Trauma Society

The SAFE Center’s Director of Clinical Services Rosa “Delmy” Alvayero, and Research and Program Coordinator Sophie Aron joined the American Trauma Society in producing and presenting a webinar on “Human Trafficking: the Role of Trauma Centers from Early Identification to Survivor Support.”  Joined by over 90 online participants, Delmy and Sophie defined human trafficking and its complexities, explored best practices for identification for hospital and emergency personnel, and highlighted the importance of survivor-centered and trauma-informed services to empower trafficking survivors in healing and reclaiming their lives.
