SAFE Center Director Speaks at International Interfaith Conference in Abu Dhabi as “Voice of Human Fraternity” for Work Combating Human Trafficking

Susan Esserman, Founder and Director of the SAFE Center, was invited to address the international interfaith Higher Committee of Human Fraternity about the Center’s work serving human trafficking survivors.  She was among a small group of leaders of human rights organizations from around the world invited to present at the conference. Held in February in Abu Dhabi, the forum celebrated the first anniversary of the Document of Human Fraternity, a groundbreaking interfaith initiative between His Holiness Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar to promote peace, tolerance, human rights, and the dignity of all people. The SAFE Center’s work on human trafficking was recognized as embracing the ideals of human fraternity.
